If you live in the United States, in many ways you’re very lucky; the potential for happiness is incomparable to anywhere else in the world. Of course, for the performance athlete much of this happiness is denied, for in the United States you cannot purchase steroids for the purpose of performance. It is a law that holds no solid foundation, it is based on myths and lies and is a law that broke the law by its very creation. In the land of the free, where liberty reigns supreme you cannot purchase steroids even if such a purchase affects no one but you. Of course, some will say, if you don’t like it then move and you very well could, for in many countries the laws regarding anabolic steroids are very lenient. In many countries, if you want to purchase steroids all you have to do is go into the store and pick out what you want no differently than when you buy a bag of potato chips.

While you could move, that’s hardly an argument, after all, why should you? Although performance use of anabolic steroids is illegal in the U.S. millions continue to supplement. In the U.S. alone over six-million adults purchase steroids for the strict purpose of performance enhancement and those are only the six-million we know about. Based on market sales it is estimated to be more than double that amount. So where are they getting them? If you want to purchase steroids in the United States, and if it’s illegal to begin with, how is it so many are buying so much?

Without question, the most common way to purchase steroids is simply by ordering them online. Hundreds, if not thousands of anabolic steroid suppliers exist online and the ease of such a purchase is just that, easy. When we purchase steroids in this manner they are delivered right to our door in a discrete package. Further, by an online purchase we are able to receive the products we want at a very good rate. In many cases, packages such as these come from overseas, and this shouldn’t be too surprising as anabolic steroid laws are often far more lenient in other countries. However, there are numerous domestic sources as well, but they will typically cost a little more than an international supplier.

Of course, this raises a question, when you purchase steroids which route should you take? Both domestic and international suppliers present advantages and disadvantages. In truth, there is no perfect means of obtaining what you want, and in either case there is an element of risk involved, and it is one you need to be aware of fully. The advantages and disadvantages are as follows:

In either case there is a chance of a seized package. If your package goes through customs it carries a higher risk, but there is still a risk through a domestic order. When you purchase steroids domestically, if it looks suspicious or if the senders or receivers name raises questions it may be confiscated. Further, in either case, if a package is flagged, domestic or international there is always the possibility of a controlled delivery.

Then we have the gym dealer; the individual you buy directly from in person. For years this was the way most people would purchase steroids, but it is not as popular as it once was. Gym suppliers are a dying breed and understandably so. To begin, their prices are commonly not as competitive. In many cases they are buying steroids from larger suppliers and passing the cost on to you. Further, as they are taking a much larger risk they also pass this cost on to you.

While pricing is a major disadvantage when you purchase steroids from a gym dealer, another disadvantage is security. When you make a purchase such as this you’re leaving yourself very vulnerable, as is he. You know who he is, he knows who you are and if either of you gets into trouble, in most cases one is going to turn on the other. It happens every single day; one gets in trouble and to get out of it he gives law enforcement the information they crave leading to an arrest. For these reasons, the gym dealer is almost an extinct novel idea.
